Marathon Franja BTC City consists of various cycling events, enabling every rider to choose one that fits his interests best. It is intended for race-level riders as well as recreational, entry level riders, school children and families.
Marathon Franja has been a competitive recreational cycling event since its establishment, uniting riders of all levels in a two-day cycling festivity with a vivid animation program and cycling fair.

All cycling events will start and finish at BTC City in Ljubljana, a cycling village that represents everything in cycling for two days. Cycling village with start and finish blocks is situated on parking lot P4 (behind main BTC City sky-scraper).
Marathon Franja BTC City is an established cycling event. It has been a part of International cycling calendar of UCI for a number of years. This year is special, since we are candidate members of the highest level of recreational cycling events under the auspices of UCI- the Golden bike series. We will put all our efforts into satisfying strict criteria, set by the UCI to be able to join the prestigeous series. All resulting in an even better, safer cycling event for you to enjoy.
We already welcomed a nice international crowd last year by joining a regional network of cycling marathons- the Alpe Adria tour.
After all, Marathon Franja BTC City is on its way to become an even better, safer and bigger event, drawing together many friends of cycling.
