The timing and route of Little Marathon Franja BTC City is designed to follow the route of original Marathon Franja. They both start at BTC City in Ljubljana; the route is identical for the first 7 km, up to Dolgi most, where Little Franja continues through Kozarje, Dobrovo, Horjul, Vrzdenec until Lučine and Gorenja vas where it again meets the original Franja. From there, it continues along the original route of Franja until the finish in BTC City.

Little marathon Franja will be ridden in a closed fashion until Dobrova (at 17th km), which is where the marathon officially starts with a fly start. A timing carpet will be placed at the beginning of the slope (8 km uphill, 5% average slope, 9% max. slope).

DANGEROUS POINTS:

  1. 1. Dangerous right-sided followed by left-sided turn at the entry to Škofja loka
    (at 61st km)
  2. 2. Dangerous short descent and right- sided turn in Šmartno, right after refreshment point
    (at 85th km)

In addition, please pay attention at the marathon start, where a large crowd of cyclists is expected.

Following roads will be closed for all traffic during the marathon

  • 1. Road from Vrzdenec to Gorenja vas (from 27th to 45th km)
    closed between 11:00 and 13:00.
  • 2. Road from Tacen to BTC City (finish) (from 87th to 97th km)
    closed between 12:30 and 17:00.
