Marathon Franja BTC City
Marathon starts at BTC City (main shopping area in Ljubljana), then turns left to Šmartinska street. Then we took Kajuhova street, continue to Zaloška, Litijska and Poljanska street. The we drive throug the old town of Ljubljana, first control is on Tromostovje. After that we drive Čopova street and reach Slovenska cesta. We continue Slovenska street until reaching Aškerčeva street. At the Trg mladinskih delovnih brigad (the MDB square), we turn left on Tržaška street.
We continue along Tržaška street until Brezovica, with a fly start at the beginning of slope (4,7 km uphill, average slope 4.1%, max. slope 7%) and then Logatec. At Kalce we turn right and ride through Godovič (dangerous descent) towards Idrija and Želin. There is a complete road block on the descent between Godovič and Idrija (G 102 road) between 09.55 and 13.05.
We turn right at Želin, towards Cerkno. A refreshment point is situated on the main square in Cerkno. A principal uphill to Kladje follows (7km, average slope 6,3%, max. slope 10%). Another refreshment point is situated atop of Kladje hill. Following Kladje, there is a 10 km long dangerous descent (with bad road paving sections) until crossroads in Trebije. Road from Cerkno to Kladje and Trebije is closed for all traffic from 10:55 to 15:00.
We turn left in Trebije towards Gorenja vas. You will find another refreshment point in Gorenja vas, in front of Town hall. After that, we continue in direction of Škofja loka. There is a dangerous right-sided turn, followed immediately by a left-sided turn at the entry to Škofja loka (please, pay attention at this section, even if it will be secured). Another refreshment point is situated after a short ascent in Škofja loka.
At the end of Škofja Loka, we turn right (onto road 314) towards Jeprca and Vodice. In Vodice, we turn right onto road 323 towards Šmartno. Final refreshment point will be in Šmartno (14 km until finish). We continue towards Tacen and then Nemška street until Dunajska street, where we turn right until crossroads with Baragova street, where we turn left. At the end of Baragova street we turn right onto Vojkova street until crossroads with Kranjčeva street, where we turn left. We continue along Kranjčeva street until Žale roundabout. Take the 4th exit onto Pokopališka street and continue towards crossroads with Šmartinska street, where we turn left. Šmartinska street will take us to the marathon finish in BTC City.

In addition, please pay attention at the marathon start, where a large crowd of cyclists is expected.
Following roads will be closed for all traffic during marathon:
- Descent from Godovič to Idrija (from 50th to 60th km); road will be closed between 09:55 and 13:05
- Uphill and descent from Cerkno to Kladje and Trebija (from 80th to 95th km); road will be closed between 10:55 and 15:00.
- Road between Tacen and BTC City (finish) (from 146th km to 156th km); road will be closed between 12:30 and 17:00.
